The City of Sydney is inviting Australian and international artists, curators and creatives to submit their ideas and inspirations for one of the country’s best temporary art programs.
Expressions of interest are being sought for specialists in all art forms to be part of the City of Sydney’s year-round Art & About Sydney program.
The program aims to invigorate public and unusual spaces across the city. Artists from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply – from visual artists, curators and performers to filmmakers, musicians and theatre companies.
Up to $60,000 for each project is available.
The City of Sydney is specifically looking for projects that are new, innovative, demonstrate artistic excellence, are participatory and inclusive, and create unique experiences through diverse and interesting collaborations.
Selected artists will be responsible for the development, planning, delivery, risk assessment and installation/de-installation of their project.
Works can be implemented from November 2023 onwards and artists will be offered various resources to assist with creative concept development, support with production and DAs, security, marketing and PR.
Applications can be made using the online form by Tuesday 13 June 2023.
