Lorne Sculpture Exhibition
Curator: Sculpture Biennale 2024
Lorne Sculpture Exhibition Inc. seeks to appoint a lead curator for the next Lorne Sculpture Biennale to be held in November 2024. The Lorne Sculpture Biennale was first presented in 2007 and is now Victoria’s premier outdoor sculpture exhibition attracting over 20,000 visitors. It runs over three to four weeks with the key events being a sculpture trail along the Lorne foreshore and a Small Sculpture Exhibition.
The curator will work with the Event Manager, the committee of Lorne Sculpture Exhibition Inc. and its curatorial panel to initiate, design and deliver the 2024 Biennale. This includes engaging sculptors and contractors and undertaking other artistic related matters necessary for the successful delivery of the Biennale. The successful applicant will have prior experience in curating exhibitions of this nature, demonstrable experience in arts management, strong arts networks and relevant tertiary qualifications.
This position is a unique opportunity and is being offered as a part time contract on a fixed fee basis from July 1st, 2023 or a date to be agreed.
