The ‘Darwin Entertainment Centre Presents’ program stream delivers the best in quality arts and cultural experiences in the Top End of the Northern Territory, year-round.
The 2023 program, which continues to grow, boasts unique and large-scale First Nations works, alongside one-woman shows, events for children, and performances that tackle the stereotypes around perceived disabilities.

Upcoming highlights include:
Damian Callinan’s Double Feature (June), a story full of humour, irony, romance, grief, love and loss, with profound insights into life and family as the creator and star of the Netflix hit film The Merger, uses his powerful gift for storytelling to recast his parents in a funny and poignant double feature.
The No Bang Theory (June), a musical journey from dating disasters to diagnosis through #actuallyautistic eyes.
Songs For Freedom (June), an uplifting evening of song and story from an ensemble of celebrated musicians including the extraordinary talented Kutcha Edwards, Naomi Pigram, Kankawa Nagarra, Fred Ryan and John Bennet, singing songs from leramugado (Roebourne) of hope, peace freedom and country.
Sydney Dance Company’s Ascent (July), a triple bill performance that is a creative union at once forceful, sumptuous and dizzying.
Possum Magic (July), Mem Fox and Julie Vivas’ beloved picture book has enchanted children for decades and Monkey Baa Theatre Company brings the paper and ink to life on stage once again.
Bell Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare (Sep). Director Heather Fairbairn’s fresh retelling of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy is a dark collision of hidden identities and unrequited love. Featuring all-new music by Sarah Blasko, Twelfth Night ultimately asks us to find light in the darkness.
Mary Coustas This is Personal (Oct). The celebrated Australian comedian, actress, writer and creator of the iconic ’90s character Effie, stars in her most intimate show to date. This Is Personal is a candid one woman show that combines the coarse tapestry of Mary’s migrant upbringing in Melbourne’s suburbs and her recent experience of motherhood.
